FreeStack – HeaderPlus Stack – Next Step

Free Stack AddOnsThe HeaderPlus Stack is part of the Free Stack AddOns Pack 1 that Blueball Design released. This stack expands the way in which you can add header images for use in your design process.

In this video tutorial we are going to explore how the new HeaderPlus Stack works using the Resources in RapidWeaver version 5. I cover how it can be used with Page Assets for RapidWeaver version 4 users. And I even discuss images that are located in your web host file directory.

If you haven’t taken the time to check out the Google Group for Blueball Design you should and you should sign up and join us.

FreeStack – PageWrapper Image – Next Step

FreeStack Next StepWelcome to this “Next Step” video tutorial about the Page Wrapper Image. In this screencast we are going to see how we can add and access our page wrapper image in a different way.

Much like the background image, we can add our own custom page wrapper image to the RapidWeaver version 5 Resources area. Then by using some custom CSS we can access that image into our page, and design, layout. I also describe the process for our member’s who still use RapidWeaver version 4 and the Page Assets.

Don’t forget to join the growing Google Group that Charlie has set up for us. A nice way to grow and help support other Free Stack users.

FreeStack – PageWrapper Image

FreeStack ThemeThe Free Stack Theme allows us, the end user, to assign an image to the defined page wrapper in the master index file. What it basically does is adds some spice to the look of the layout.

In this video tutorial we take a look at the option, or variation, and how it works within the Free Stack System.

I want to ensure that I share with everyone the great Google Group that Charlie has started for us to support one another. Be sure to join this growing team.

FreeStacks – Background Image – Next Step

FreeStack Next StepThere is another way to add a custom background image into your Free Stack layouts.

In this “Next Step” video tutorial I show you how you can add the image to the Resources, in RapidWeaver version 5, and by using a bit of custom CSS coding get that image to appear in the background. I also describe the process for RapidWeaver version 4 users.

I also want to remind Free Stack users that you should join Blueball Design’s Google Group. As this group grows, we can support one another in the use of the Free Stack system.

Expandable Sticky Bar – Free Public Video

Here’s an interesting Javascript from DynamicDrive that uses the jQuery library.

In this video tutorial I wanted to introduce RapidWeaver users to the Expandable Sticky Bar. I often see users looking for a “fixed” footer or header type situation in their design layouts and this Javascript provides such a feature.

Its very easy to use and in this free public screencast I quickly go over how you can explore this option to obtain this type of look and feel.

The stackBack Stack

stackBack-iconThe stackBack Stack is a "classic" Stack that was introduced back when the Stacks plug-in made its debut. After researching the RapidWeaver forum I found that the Stack was no longer available for download.

Since it was a freely available Stack, I packaged it up with a single page PDF and have made it available for everyone to enjoy. Download stackBack.

I wanted to share how stackBack can add creativity to your Stacks and flair to your page layouts. So join me on this video tutorial covering the basics of the stackBack Stack.
