In this video tutorial we will look at changing from using the Cycle jQuery Plugin to the Nivo Slider for a different effect. It’s easy and gives you a few more options. Make sure you have seen jQuery Animated Headers Part 1 and Part 2 for the foundation to what I am doing here.
The Styled Text Page type in Rapidweaver is one of the most used and most powerful page types. don’t under estimate what you can do with this simple looking page.
This is the seventh tutorial in the new updated series.
Another Free Show, yes that’s right. Ed focuses on a really useful app that will save you a lot of time and get you organised.
Code Collector Pro allows you to easily organise and share code snippets. With a familiar, easy to use interface organising snippets is a breeze and integration with codecollector.net allows you to share your snippets with the world just by clicking a checkbox.

Getting code to show well on a website with easy copy/paste, print and view.
I was researching a Cast I (still) want to do and I came across a nice code display with a couple of nice easy to use features.
I decided to make a Cast on this while I finish up my research for the next Cast. Though Rapidweaver users have the Highlight Plugin, this SyntaxHighlighter can be used with any web design software, including RW.
This Cast has a couple of “warts”. I left these in as I find the solution for each issue and thought it might be useful to viewers to see. Things go wrong while recording and often we cut them out or redo the cast. I like to leave them in as long as the information gained is useful.
Hope you enjoy this cast and maybe have a good laugh (or at least a chuckle)
This is a 32 minute cast that details the plist found in the Rapidweaver Theme Contents.
Each piece from top to bottom is covered. What they mean and what they do.
We have two casts on the plist. One, previously recorded, is more of an overview with details on the common parts most Rapidweaver users my ever see our alter. This second cast is a down and dirty (and I mean dirty!) look into this often confusing document. Sit down, strap in, and hold on as we unearth the deep magic of the Rapidweaver plist.
Even I get a bit tired at the end and stumble over words a bit. I recover and get through this longer cast.
Whew, said it, did it, done, enjoy!

members show: in this short screencast I show you some of the the pluskit magic you may have seen during the screencasts on mp3 and Flowplayer stacks and how to get these inside and played with the PayLoom pages. Really nice to have audio or video playing especially if you are following the ‘How to build a digital download store’ screencast too
Thanks to Sean for suggesting this as we were getting to the end of lengthy email exchanges :)
Over at SupportCasts we are heavy users of VisualHub in generating the iPhone and AppleTV versions of our screencasts, so it was real shame that VisualHub (Techspansion) closed their doors some months ago.
However, a lone developer has now taken over the code from VisualHub and has released this snappy little app VideoMonkey.
Currently at a 0.1 release, it already provides very impressive results in generating H264 AppleTV or iPhone/iPod Touch mp4 files for your web pages. More formats will follow in the future – we hope .
I should add that MP4 files are supported by FlowPlayer and other Flash players too . But this is a great plug for our small and basic FlowPlayer Stack Library that is on our site also :) Watch out for new developments on that front too from Kevin and Ronan at SymfoniP.
I put VideoMonkey through its encoding paces and provide some benchmark examples against iMovie 09 exports too in our show today. I think you will find the results are worth the extra step in your video export workflow, I’m not going to spoil it now :D
Grab the VideoMonkey package over at SourceForge to give it a test drive to create MP4 encosed files without any fuss.
I hope you enjoy this free show from the team at SupportCasts
Remember you can go full-screen too on this video and get this in our free and public iTunes feed. Not to be confused with the private feeds we have for members ;)
A refresh of the ‘old’ screencast covering Google Maps in your pages.
Enjoy the show
A busy week here at our respective geographic locations and the video tutorials keep on coming :)
