GFontsStylr Stacks and a tip for FreeStack Users

GFontsStylrIn the last part of this 3 part series on the GFontsStylr Stacks from Blueball Design I want to share a tip with the FreeStack user’s out there.

You can use RapidWeaver’s built in macros inside of the GFontsStyler stacks to create awesome looks for your site title, site slogan and more with ease.

Free Stack – Publish Date Stack – Next Step

FreeStack Next StepThe Publish Date stack is a part of the Free Stack Addon Pack 1. Not many know that RapidWeaver has a built in macro for this feature.

In this “next step” video tutorial we are going to look at easy to use stack in our projects. We will review the HUD options and I will point out the only limitation to this macro.

I consider this a “core” stack due to its relationship with RapidWeaver. And, it’s always fun to learn something new.

Free Stack – Breadcrumb Stack

FreeStack ThemeProbably a lesser known, and used, item is a “breadcrumb” trail within our projects and web sites. The Free Stack Theme/System includes a Breadcrumb Stack.

In this video tutorial we will learn what it takes to make this stack work. There are some settings that have to be “activated” within RapidWeaver for you to use the Breadcrumb stack properly. Join me as we continue exploring the “core” stacks that Blueball Design has provided.

FreeStack – HeaderPlus Stack – Next Step

Free Stack AddOnsThe HeaderPlus Stack is part of the Free Stack AddOns Pack 1 that Blueball Design released. This stack expands the way in which you can add header images for use in your design process.

In this video tutorial we are going to explore how the new HeaderPlus Stack works using the Resources in RapidWeaver version 5. I cover how it can be used with Page Assets for RapidWeaver version 4 users. And I even discuss images that are located in your web host file directory.

FreeStack – Header Stack

FreeStack ThemeStaying the course in this series, its time to take a look at the Free Stack Header Stack. This is a stock stack that comes with the Free Stack purchase.

This video tutorial covers some of the different ways that the stack is used within the Free Stack Theme System. We look at three examples of how to build the header that we want, or need.

FreeStack – PageWrapper Image – Next Step

FreeStack Next StepWelcome to this “Next Step” video tutorial about the Page Wrapper Image. In this screencast we are going to see how we can add and access our page wrapper image in a different way.

Much like the background image, we can add our own custom page wrapper image to the RapidWeaver version 5 Resources area. Then by using some custom CSS we can access that image into our page, and design, layout. I also describe the process for our member’s who still use RapidWeaver version 4 and the Page Assets.
