This video tutorial provides a short “overview” of what you get when you purchase the FreeStack Theme from Blueball Design. We also pay a visit to the FreeStack site where you can get information about the product and learn a bit about the background of this RapidWeaver Theme concept. And, the release of this screencast [...]

Charlie Lockhart of Blueball Design recently released his first official FreeStack Add-On Pack. I decided that we needed to take a cursory look at what’s available in this latest release and how this “add-on” should be a part of your Stacks library. You will want to watch this video tutorial through to the end for [...]

I have experimented with using the shadowbox on the home page of our website. It Safari and Firefox the system works very, very smoothly: I have links to both quicktime movies and (what I really wanted) was a box to play flash files. Currently I’m linking to FLV pages and although that works, it’s cumbersome.
So thank you for this. It was amazing and impressive.
The fly in the ointment is that it doesn’t seem to work in IE6. My PC partner says that neither the quicktime files nor the flash file will play. As she said, “the quicktime link never stopped running download and the flash link said it was finished but there was nothing on the page…”
So I am wondering if I made a mistake in installing this (very likely, as I’m barely above the neophyte level) or if I should just, once again, blame IE6 and move on?
(I am also using a rather complicated second party theme called “Slidespill”.
Cheers,
Stacey
Well IE 6 should be on its death bed but it still wants to annoy us :) Having a cursory look at SlideSpill and that uses jQuery so I would remove the mootools js references and use the jQuery adapter for Shadowbox. that should resolve any compatibility issues. This site uses Shadowbox also and it plays fine in IE6 / 7.
This cast was created some time ago and will be updated again soon.

Thank you for answering this. I am not completely clear on how to do what you suggest: do I remove the mootools references from the contents folder or just the html and plist files?
I assume I would edit the code in the html and plist files, to change references from “mootools” to a jquery?
Is the “jQuery adaptor” part on the original download, or a separate element?
Thanks for your patience,
