The guys at CRM Technik (under the umbrella of SymfoniP) have been real busy adding new options to enhance the solo MP3 player Stack library and making it even easier to add a Flash player to your RapidWeaver pages with Stacks- yay. . Great new options inlude

- zero to hero configuration, one time only setup
- support of colors for Player as far as it can go with the Stacks HUD
- multiple player support without any fuss
- plays nice with ExtraContent enabled Themes too

Great for a band site or anything where you want a bit of zing to your music sharing. Of course this enhanced MP3 Stack library makes it real easy to put together a great looking page with RapidWeaver and the Stacks plugin from YourHead.com.
All yours for the princely sum of $5 this includes all Taxes – what a bargain! I should add that it is only available at this special price at SupportCasts.com

Watch the new MP3 stack in action (screencast) put together by Kevin who also leads the team at CRM Technik over in Germany.

Tested with IE7, IE6 FF 3, Safari and Flash 10 . Please note that having 10 or more individual Flash  objects on your page will increase page size. Mixing other Flash elements or getting creative with Blocks, PlusKit with the MP3 Stack is not advised. :)

I have seen this stack in action. It is really a pretty, clean and awesome solution. You haven’t mess around with Java Script.

    Excellent job Kevin!

Taking the original idea to the “next” level by adding the various color options and the “zero to hero” configuration.

    Hi,
I paid through paypal, where can I download the new enhanced stack, please?

    Thanks,
    Shane.

    Hi Shane,
Kevin is responsible for this Stack and is in transit toward home. The transaction is run via e-junkie with PayPal as the payment gateway. You should have seen a “success” page with download information and received and email with the same information in it. Check you junk mail folder too. If this does not answer the question then I am sure Kevin will help you as soon as he is back online.

Yep as Larry says, just check the spam/junk folder too.

But Shane is all sorted now :)

Publish your Page this is a problem with Flash permissions, see developer of the Stack FAQ pages http://symfonip.com/helpdesk/faq.html

Hi guys – this stack looks great, but I have no idea how to create a link to the MP3??? Sorry – complete beginner!

  17. admin - http:// says:

have a look at the screencast over at symfonip [http://symfonip.com/store/mp3stack.php].com , all you do is add the MP3 stack once and that’s it

  18. Georgia - http://www.globalalchemy.com says:

Oh yeah I watched that & it says that once you add the stack you have to create a link to where the mp3 file is & in my case that’s on my computer.

I was not sure how to create the link, but after i sent that last post I used the name or extension to create the link – is that right?

It seemed to work cos it created the Flash Player but it said ‘File not Found’ when I tried to play it.

    Any advice much appreciated . . .

  19. admin - http:// says:

have a look at the FAQ [http://symfonip.com/helpdesk/index.html] please , more than likely you may have a flash permissions problem, that is usually always the case the with file not found or indeed the file link is not correct

Adding a link is done using the add link button in RW to the url where your mp3 file is! if there any issues then contact symfonip with detauils of your site, url, mp3 file etc

  20. Georgia - http://www.globalalchemy.com says:

Thank you for very much for you advice.

However, maybe I am not making myself clear. I understand how to add the mp3 stack & I understand how to create a link, but what I don’t understand is what I am linking to. If the mp3 is just sitting on my desktop do I link it to the name of that mp3?

My only experience of creating links is to a url, not something within my computer, therefore I do not understand what I am linking to.

    Thanks for your patience!

  21. Larry - http://supportcasts.com/SC_submovies/ says:

Add the MP3 to the Assets of the page using the Page Inspector in RW. Then highlight the text on the page and us the link “+” button and select the MP3 file to link to.

Otherwise, upload the MP3 to your server and then get the full (absolute) URL to the file and link the text or image on the page in RW to it.

  22. Georgia - http://www.globalalchemy.com says:

    Great! Thank you so much!

  23. Georgia - http://www.globalalchemy.com says:

Hi there, I managed to add the mp3 to the assets & create the link as you suggested, & now the mp3 is playing fine in Rapid Weaver = great!

However, when I try & publish it fails & says:

    FTP Publishing Error

Failed to create remote directory ‘assets/Myspiritradio-leo.mp3′

Any ideas? Do you think this is a Flash permission error? I want to double check before I try & figure out the Flash stuff because it looks a bit complicated to me.

    Thank you!

  24. Kees - http://www.tunes2tube.com says:

I bought the plugin. It is not as easy as supposed. I hoped it would be as easy as to drop a mp3 file to the stack window and set the prefs. No the mp3 files need to be online. This is a bummer.

  25. admin - http:// says:

    hi there
Looking at your page it would be easy to transfer the existing anchor links you have to a Stacks page and then apply the MP3 stack . The stack needs to know where the files are whether it is a asset in RapidWeaver or an external url the premium stack will then transform all the valid mp3 links to a flash player .
