Great Screencast !!!
I was gonna hire someone to build a database, but your screencast has made it so easy that I did it myself and I am very happy about it. The price paid for the membership at supportcasts.com was cheaper than hiring someone to do it. Wow you guys are great !

Thanks again

I own their other plugins and love them! I was happy to see this addition, but sad to see their homepage's lack of actual varying examples. Thank you for the webcasts and showing me great examples!

This was a very timely screencast to come across! I am just beginning to work on a website that we would like to incorporate some forms into, and I was testing the built in forms in Rapidweaver, when I came across this plugin. I downloaded the trial, and started to play. After watching the screencast, I had a much better understanding of the plugin, and its capabilities. Great job in covering all the aspects of the settings, as well as key tips, like the formatting of the response email using the #lname# nomenclature, etc. I will definitely be back for more once I get further along with my website.

Thank you for the informative screencast. It gave me a general idea of what Formloom is. And now that I know I would REALLY like to have it ;-) As a total newbie I find learning via video the best way - even more so since English is not my mother-tongue and when I see things done it's easier to understand. You offered a lot of precious information, e.g. the note on PHP 5.

I hope the following will not endanger my chances to win, but I thought you might appreciate some well-meant constructive criticism? As Jody Joy has already pointed out, it would have been useful (for me as a newbie) to have the terms Ajax and MySQL explained shortly. Do I have to know what Ajax and MySQL is to really be able to use Formloom ?!? PANIC !

The other thing is:
In this big, round, globalized world there are actually quite a lot of people who are not English native speakers, but had to learn English with an effort. For those poor creatures (like me) it's sometimes hard to understand the spoken words when there is mumbling or the speaker is very fast and burring ect.. So I was forced to rewind the video sometimes and hear it again to grasp the meaning...

Well, so please don't forget the tiny starters with their silly stupid brains full of nescience nor the ones in the world who were not fortunate to be brought up bilingually :-)

Having said that I originally wanted to add now a long paean of praise to meet the demanded grovelling, but oh dear:

MY DOG ATE MY HOMEWORK !

er, not my homework, but my looong, glorious, schmoozing essay ...

                         Sorry :-)

( naughty dog ! )

Great screencast and Larry your presentation was fantastic and for me very clear and well paced (is that enough grovelling!!). I have often wondered what FormLoom was all about and now I know and it could well come in useful for a couple of sites that I am planning on doing.

How much grovelling does it take to be a winner? I don't know but I never win anything and so I thought I had better enter this in the smallest possibility that I could win. I promise that if I do win, I will purchase the PayLoom plug in as well.

So guys pick me please and put me out of my misery!!!

Regards

Thanks for the informative screencast. I have been wishing for years that RW had the forms capabilities that FormLoom provides, so I am very glad it is now available! This screencast confirms that all that I had hoped for is within FormLoom.

Well, I just signed up today for SupportCasts using the coupon, and first I want to say that the overall quality of the casts are great! I'm a big RW user and fan, and these casts are really helpful and will save me a bunch of time that I usually spend trying to figure out how to do something.

I haven't yet purchased FormLoom, but watching this cast has definitely inspired me to do so and go beyond the RW "contact page". The cast gave me enough information to allow me to jump right in with FormLoom.

Of course, I'm going to wait until February 9th before I purchase FormLoom though, so I can see if I won. ;-)

Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the thorough introduction to a wonderful plugin! FormLoom has taken the RW 'contact page' where it needs to go. I can't wait to use it (ahem, politely 'retire' the old contact forms).

Keep up the great work Larry. Now off to RT the prizes… ;)

It is always a pleasure to watch a well-done screencast for a walk-through of a software set of menus, choices, etc. It is the best way to get familiar with a product without spending time trying to figure out "What does that setting do?" Having an audio explanation of what it means is invaluable.

Very nicely done overview of FormLoom. I found that I got the "Big Picture" quickly, and that I will need to see it one or two more times to narrow in on the details.

One point-if you don't know what Ajax is or does, a more informative explanation is helpful. Can't remember if Larry gave more on this-would need to replay it.

Helpful Tip - a brief mention of what to do with the info that the form will generate would be helpful. How FormLoom fits into a strategy - i.e. once people fill out the form, here are your options for capturing the data. This could help people figure out just why FormLoom could be helpful to them and how next to proceed with securing the data FormLoom generates.

Overall Helpful Advice: in your screencasts please always keep the novice user in mind, not only in the way you choose to explain things, but in particular to define terms/items that people might not be familiar with... i.e. MySQL, Ajax, etc.

Props to you all!

The screencast was not too short and not too long. Only in a short time I could get a good picture of the funktionality of FormLoom. Very helpfull!
There were two small bit of informations that helps me very much…
1. My Question was: what should I fill into the small box called "Attribute Value"? (Me as German native speaker… you know)
Now, the screencast told it to me: "valid email adress" for example, if it is an email… Thank you for this tip.
2. The necessity to have php5 activated.

Very nice, informative screencast, guys. I'd never looked closely at FormLoom until this 'cast. I saw all the functionality and had to get myself a copy. So, it's already been put to use on a site. I am sure I will be digging deeper into it in the coming days and trying to use even more of the features. I'd have used the "vertical" check box had I known what it did. However, I do know now thanks to your screencast.
Keep 'em coming guys!

And, just because I bought myself a copy doesn't mean I don't want to be in the contest.

Pick Me, Pick Me!
